BRIAN ROBINSON - Photographer

Brian "opie" Robinson - Button Pusher

I started my photo career when I was a Junior in high school. It was 1989 and I was a staff photographer for the Wichita Heights High Yearbook. Mr. Shook taught me all he knew about exposure and processing of black and white film and prints. Photography and capturing images has certainly changed a lot since then. But, over the years, it still seemed as though I was always carrying a camera. As time progressed, more and more people began asking me to take their family pictures. Seemed only natural to try and make a living at it.

In 2005, a partner and I created JDB Photography as a way to get out of our "real" jobs and try to make a living out of our true passion. Since 2005, I have shot numerous families, kids, seniors and over a 150 weddings. In January 2010, my partner and I decided to branch off and operate on our own as two seperate entities to better serve our clients.

While my true passion lies with shooting brides on their 'big day', I am also available for all kinds of photography, Seniors. Kids, Families, I shoot it all.

With weddings, I prefer to go beyond the typically posed portraits. I try to capture special, intimate moments throughout the event, resulting in some very memorable images. My attitude, which translates to my images, is that weddings are fun celebrations of love and life. I love to photograph all the details and behind-the-scene images as they unfold to tell the story of the special day.
